Was trying to send btc to my electrum wallet. On my electrum wallet, I generated the receiving address by clicking Bitcoin Request button, copied to clipboard and pasted on LocalBitcoins' "Receiving bitcoin address" field. But I kept getting an error message "Invalid Bitcoin Address". What am I doing wrong? Please be nice, I'm a total noob. Thank you.

I set up Wasabi the other day. Generated a number of rec addresses. Went to my exchange to make a withdrawal. When I try any of those rec addresses, I get a pop up stating the BTC address is invalid. Going through the posts here, I didn't see any other comments about this. Anyone else experience this?
Hey guys, Trying to use OB to make a purchase from a vendor. Still a little new to the client and I have managed to get to the purchasing page. When I submit my order though the wallet address generated is too long and appears to be invalid (bc1q6cXXXXnrl7t7hyqs4gXX62zu7q49urdldpg2xpt9mXXXXgpvgerq45XXXX - some digits replaced for anonymity). The QR code generated is also invalid. Any idea how to proceed? Also, I have not transferred my funds to the OB wallet. I am planning to make the transfer from my own wallet. Don't want to pay double the transaction fees. Thanks!
Hey everyone, Just made a small tester purchase on localbitcoins and I have them sitting in my wallet on the site. I'm now trying to send them to my private wallet, but I keep getting an error message saying 'Invalid Bitcoin Address'. Does anyone know how to test the validity of an address? And can it take some time for adresses to register on the network after private wallet creation? I'm using electrum for my private wallet. Thanks!
Hey, Does anyone else get this error when trying to add a new BTC address in Kraken? I tried 10 different addresses - the same error all the time. The addresses are real and can be looked up in blockchain.info This is really frustrating. In practice I cannot withdraw any coins from my account. I submitted a ticket - waiting for reply. I have a Tier 4 account (not even close to any limits).

This could be the wrong place for this and if it is please let me know. I am trying to deposit funds in Bitpay but they're giving me a 22 character address for sending the bitcoin. I have tried this like 20 times and I just keep getting 22 character addresses. Am i missing something or is there something up with their system?
To address this, developers of Bitcoin Cash created a different format called CashAddr (read as: Cash Address) format to easily distinguish what currency an address supports. Bitcoin addresses usually start with a “1” or a “3” , while the Bitcoin Cash CashAddr format begins with the words “ bitcoincash: ” followed by a string that can start with either a “q” or a “p” .
